Drill pipe slips are a dedicated tool for holding the drill pipe in the work of oil drilling.

As the contact length between slip insert and drill pipe can be divided into SDS, SDML and SDXL, SDS is used for operation in shallow well; SDML is used for operation of medium deep well; and SDXL for operation of deep well.
